Sebasticook Lake Draw Down Progress

The gate is open in lieu of the flashboards as they have been sandbagged due to broken seals. Once the level gets to the concrete the crew needs to remove and repair all three seals. They can not open prior as all the sand bags will be washed downstream. As to the lake not going down the largest reason is the amount of rain. The construction down stream has no bearing and has not since we started the drawdown. The river is nearly at capacity for discharge, we will monitor as always to make certain we maximize flows. Fall rains play an important role in the drawdown, twice in the past twenty years everything was open and we still had a higher level of water in the lake then we did in the summer.
