Newport has an exciting week planned to celebrate the town’s 200 years.  Monday at 6pm at the Newport Cultural Center is the Opening Ceremony including the opening of a 100 year old time capsule, plus appetizers and refreshments served by the Newport Woman’s Club.  Also the Woman’s Club will have on display a commemorative woven throw.  Only 200 are available for purchase, so be sure to get one before they are gone.  They are only $25.00!
