Third Water Testing Done-June 11

Wednesday’s water testing with Dave Halliwell, DEP, aquatic biologist, Jack Carson, next lake monitor in training, and Debbie Ferrell, current lake monitor, went smoothly.  The weather was bright with little wind.  The secchi disk reading was 4.1 meters, though the range of barely visible disk was larger than usual.  This was also our second lab sampling for phosphorous.  Those results will be available in a week or two.  Our last sampling results were good.

Today, Friday June 13, is cloudy and quite windy with heavy rain expected later tonight.  We had to add a safety backup line to keep the pontoon boat from damaging and/or moving the pier.  Larry still managed to fish while three foot waves rocked the boat.  Check out the picture in the photo gallery.
